Mary’s Harvest Fresh Foods, Inc. is the subject of a USDA FSIS public health alert for its 8-ounce “CURRY CHICKEN SALAD” due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The product was distributed to retail stores in Oregon and Washington.Consumers with questions regarding the public health alert can contact Ernie Spada Jr., Sr. Vice President/Owner of Mary's Harvest Fresh Foods, Inc., at (503)-288-8300.
The affected chicken salad was produced on July 22, 2026, and packaged in 8-ounce plastic containers marked with a “USE BY: 07/30/2026” date on the back label and establishment number “P-39928” inside the USDA mark of inspection. A recall was not issued as the product is no longer available for purchase. FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers' refrigerators. The alert was issued out of concern for possible contamination.
The issue was identified during routine establishment testing. Listeria monocytogenes can cause listeriosis, a serious infection with symptoms such as fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, convulsions, and sometimes gastrointestinal symptoms.
